soulmates, what’s the meaning behind that word?

Love. The most anticipated and looked for jewel of eternal happiness and rejoice. The most expected source of joy, laughter, and a sense of normalcy for this wrecked life we keep on living. The same life we know nothing about but to live it as courageously as possible. As adamantly as possible. As kindly as possible. Many say we find our soulmates doing just exactly that. Living life in a courageous form. Fearless from all the obstacles that life and the universe’s entropy throw right at our faces, to test us or perhaps, for mere fun. Either way, it is up to us to choose what are we going to do with what life is presenting us at our very own sight. And choose whether to love, or retreat.

Fortunate are those who find their soulmate at an early age. But blessed are thou who find them doing what they love the most. At least that is what the guy from the mirror always used to tell me as I ask the meaning behind having or finding one. A soulmate. Has someone ever asked you whether you’ve found someone who moves your soul? Someone who has ever touched the deepest and darkest parts of it? Someone who defies all the laws of you, someone who challenges you to love more and more and more with the pass of the hours. Someone who pushes you into being exactly what you were looking for this entire time. Your very own soulmate.

It is true that finding your soulmate is a challenging task to achieve. However, it is also true that it exists and that it is real. You see, many people would think or have the conception that there may be just only one. Only and uniquely one person solely capable of touching our very own essence. That maybe, it is the only configuration life itself is programmed with. The only way things can be done. Well, in a world where the odds of something extraordinary to happen is always more than cero, that’d be something extremely ordinary. Souls make no distinction and no judgment, they seek to rejoice in connection. In union with like-formed beings wanting to do just the same thing. To love.

However, the question remains. How can someone find someone who shares all those characteristics? How can the planets align in perfect harmony and let us meet that one special person? I believe the answer to that question lays in our own ability to manage and transform energy. It seems that this special ability came within our default factory settings of being humans. And with it, we are able to challenge the deepest and darkest corners of not only someone else’s soul but ours too. Shapeshifting energy like a chameleon does colors. We transmute our anger, frustrations, deep fears, and insecurities into something beautiful and gaze-catcher. Something whose blossom act not only will shine upon valleys of dark alleyways but also just as a magnet, pulls the same energy irradiating towards itself. Finding its lookalike. Because that is what energy does, it will always look for a mirror.
